EDIT- WE PLACED FIRST!
Finally I've finished a show entry! I was just lookin' through the competitions I could possibly enter and saw this one and had to join, it seemed pretty relaxed. This was so fun to draw! I love my little Khotalo <3

Story:
Jodi huffed, waiting around for her class to begin was torture. She hadn't shown in ages and now that she had the chance, she had grown somewhat impatient. She crossed her arms, her jodhpurs sitting in a place she didn't want them. Her best friend and staff-mate, Becca trotted up behind her, scanning the area as she did.
"Jodi, what's wrong?" She said, concern on her face, Jodi sighed, giving a smile.
"No, nothing, I'm just so excited to be here that I feel like my time is going twice as fast as real time." She giggled, looking over the other contestants, they all looked as she did, but because she hadn't been in that attire for so long she felt as though she stood out against the rest. Which she didn't feel very often.
Finally. Finally! Jodi jumped up and down slightly as her name was called out, she quickly mounted Khotalo before giving her a reassuring pat on the neck. Trotting out gracefully into the arena, Jodi held her head up high, a smile on her face. It felt so good to be in the ring again, strutting her stuff and showing off her beautiful mare. The course Jodi had practiced for was fairly complicated, Khotalo was pretty advanced. Their course included a collected trot, a pivet, a half turn on the haunches and finally a pirouette. After the crowd cheered and Jodi had successfully completed her course, she trotted out of the arena, her smile from ear to ear. She dismounted Khotalo and gave her a treat, whispering soothingly in her ear. She crossed her fingers, hoping that all the training and the first time in the ring for ages would pay off. She wouldn't give this up for the world. //
